NOVEMBER 30

5:00 PM

Five StorySeeds Fellows will read their first-ever narrative short screenplays.

Mamá Papaya’s StorySeeds Screenwiritng Fellowship is a 3-month program dedicated to nurture and cultivate emerging filmmakers and storytellers by supporting them to develop the concept and write their first short narrative film screenplay with the guidance of highly experienced and established mentors.

Mamá Papaya is an immigrant-led nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing and empowering underrepresented filmmakers and storytellers in Minnesota.

Through the creation and screening of their films, our fellows and their communities engage in a transformative process that fosters deep connections, skill development, and meaningful conversations.

Mamá Papaya fellowships serve as both incubators and accelerators for emerging talent, helping to launch sustainable, long-term careers in filmmaking. Filmmaking and storytelling are ancestral tools for preservation and healing.

At Mamá Papaya, we prioritize care, joy, and community-rooted processes, fostering long-lasting relationships.

Mamá Papaya is proud to co-present Cinefilmu Film Festival.
